For this 50 lot high-end residential single family development located at Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County, Virginia, ACS DESIGN was commissioned to provide preliminary engineering and final design services for this development. The final design included comprehensive site plan development and the design of central water and sewer systems along with a packaged wastewater treatment plant. The sewer system included 50 single family grinder pump stations, low pressure sewer forcemain and a centrally located 20,000 GPD WWTP facility and 31,000 GPD mass drainfield system. The existing water system was an expansion of the existing water system serving an adjacent development known as “The Retreat” using a hydro-pneumatic system with booster pumps. The estimated construction cost of the water and sewer systems including the wastewater treatment plant $1,325,000.
