Tidy Services is a Salem, Virginia based company dealing in the collection and disposal of wastewater and solid wastes generated by portable toilets, washing facilities and solid waste material from construction sites. Upon purchasing a commercial building in the Cook Commerce Center in Salem, the Owners realized the necessity for a centralized disposal facility for sewage that is pumped and hauled throughout the region.

With a major component of their business being the leasing of portable toilets, the Owners of Tidy Services identified a market for the centralized collection of wastewater generated by their units throughout the area. Additionally, the Owners recognized the market for the centralized disposal of Septage that is routinely pumped and hauled throughout the region. In an effort to increase their current business and to expand their market, the Owners purchased an existing facility in order to construct a facility for these services. As a component of these expanded markets, Tidy Services realized the need for a wastewater receiving facility necessary to process wastewater generated through their pump and haul business. As designed by ACS DESIGN, this processing facility receives trucks from Tidy Services fleet, processes the wastewater and discharges the treated wastewater into the existing public sewer system. ACS DESIGN and the Owners met with officials from the City of Salem in preliminary discussions for the project, and kept City Officials in the process throughout the duration of the project.
