A geographic information system (GIS) is a method of storing and managing data which is geographically referenced. It is a tool that allows the user to create searches in order to analyze and/or edit information, data, maps, etc. and then present the results of each of these operations in a select manner. Using both conventional and GPS surveying technology, both individually or in tandem, ACS DESIGN can develop and maintain both small and large scale GIS projects. As developments grow, the infrastructure supporting the development becomes more complex and a GIS system can greatly aid in planning and designing for the future
